This Practice Direction applies where the period covered by the category of fixed costs or remuneration ends on or after 1 April 2008.

This practice note previously specified the rates of fixed costs allowed in Court of Protection matters prior to October 2007. It also covers matters relating to the new Court of Protection between October 2007 and April 2008. They were previously set following consultation with the Supreme Court Costs Office and the Law Society.
